We are a privately supported non-profit agency dedicated to the welfare of all companion animals that share the world with us. We are the third oldest Humane Society in the state of California, founded in 1887, and have been in continuous service since that time. We serve the geographical area from the Carpinteria area to Santa Ynez Valley.

Adoption fee for dogs is $80. Adoption fee for cats is $60.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
