As one of the first animal welfare agencies in the West, Santa Barbara Humane has served our local communities since 1887. Our campuses in Santa Barbara and Santa Maria offer adoptions, low-cost veterinary services, and affordable dog training classes. SB Humane is a local nonprofit organization not funded or controlled by any national animal protection group or governmental agency.

Our adoption centers are open daily from 12:00 p.m.–4:30 p.m., closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a drop-in, first-come, first-served basis.
