For many years, BHS (Beatrice Humane Society) has been sheltering abandoned animals, fighting cruelty and neglect, and working to build a caring, compassionate community here in Beatrice Nebraska.
Although we have lots of volunteers and members, we are really nothing more than a single entity saying “Yes, I want to help!”.

The mission of the Beatrice Humane Society is to shelter, protect and place lost and homeless companion animals in Gage County, and to be an educational resource.

Adoption steps
- Submit ApplicationVisit our website (https://www.beatricehumanesociety.org/adopt/) or either Petsmart in Lincoln to fall in love with your next family member
- Submit ApplicationComplete our adoption application online: https://www.beatricehumanesociety.org/adopt/adoption-fees.html
- Visit the Facility and Find a PetPlease contact us to schedule an appointment to meet the pet(s) you are interested in adopting.
- Approve Application
- Sign Adoption Contract
- Pay FeeAll pets go home spayed/ neutered, updated on vaccines, treated for fleas, ticks and other parasites, and tested for FELV/FIV/HW
- Take the Pet Home
