Shelter FAQs

We serve Trempealeau County for stray dog intake from municipality or police department. We serve the public for stray cat intake as we have space and require a surrender fee of $50; please call 608-525-2300 and check if we have space for feline intake. For other services please call 608-525-2300..

Additional adoption info

Anyone from the surrounding area is welcome to apply to adopt. We do process the adoption application with reference checks and veterinary check. We offer Foster-to-adopt for young animals and for families that are unsure of the fit. Any homes with other canines must be socialized pre-adoption at T.C.H.S. Canine adoption fee is $150 or $250 Legacy (legacy will be specified). The Feline adoption fee is $75. All animals are up to date on vaccinations, micro chipped and spay or neutered before finalizing.
