Rescue FAQs

Our dogs come from shelters, streets, owner turn-ins, etc. All pets are spayed/neutered, brought up-to-date on shots, heart-worm tested (treated when necessary) and anything else that's needed.
We serve the Knoxville area and also take part in the transport of adoptable dogs to the northern states. We rely on donations and adoption fees to cover our medical costs.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process begins with a family finding a dog on the website that they're interested in. They may meet the dog and if it seems to be a possible match, they complete an application. When approved, we do a home visit, then have the new family sign a contract. Our adoption fee is usually $125. Application and contract can be viewed at our website, www.GRReatDogRescue.com

Donations are used to cover medical costs of foster dogs.
