Rescue FAQs

Our goal is to reduce the feral cat population and improve their quality of life. Our volunteers build and maintain shelters, feed and clean their colonies, and provide medical care to abandoned or homeless cats.

Wandering Whiskers also fosters and adopts out, houses, socializes, and cares for the kittens found in the TNR efforts. Once the kittens are spayed/neutered and vaccinated, we then adopt them to loving homes.

The cats in our foster care are community cats that are social and able to be placed in a home.
Wandering Whiskers is a group of volunteers. We serve the surrounding areas of Barrington NJ for TNR efforts as well as doing foster and adoptions. We adopt our available cats/kittens out to homes in South Jersey. We run solely on donations, and are greatly appreciative of your support.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
Since we tend to get a lot of inquiries on our kitties it is advisable to submit an application. We process them as a first come basis.
  2. Meet the Pet
We like to make sure your choice is a good fit since a pic does not show full personality. Please read their Bio, it is very helpful to you
  3. Home Check
We do this either prior to approved adoption to meet your current pet, or when we bring kitty to you and we approve to sign contract
