Additional adoption info

We require that each adoption applicant submits an application, have an In Home Interview and apply for a animal that they choose to adopt. It must be a suitable home for the pet and the family must meet the needs of that animal before adoption.

We do require a signed contract that spells out what we expect of them. Pet must be a family member, loved, proper routine care, proper medical treatment when needed and licensing.

Our adoption fees are Puppies less than one year old - $400, Dogs between 1 and 5 - $350, and Dogs over the age of 6 - $300. Cats regardless of age $125.00.

This helps to offset our intake costs. All animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and given a full series of shots by our vets.

About FurEver Pawz Rescue

FurEver Pawz rescues and heals displaced, abandoned, and homeless animals, regardless of their age or health. Our mission is to find safe, loving homes through a comprehensive adoption program and provide permanent foster placement for those that are deemed unadoptable because of age or medical needs.

In support of our Mission Statement, FurEver Pawz rescues from shelters and from owners who can no longer care for them because of changing circumstances in their lives. We maintain close working relationships with animal shelters in Orange and surrounding counties. We rescue animals of all ages, size and breed.

Each rescued animal immediately receives a thorough veterinary exam. All of our animals will be spayed or neutered before an adoption can occur, all vaccinations are brought up to date. We rescue the old, the sick and injured animals as well as the young healthy ones. Some of these animals will have significant health issues and it is our responsibility to provide them with expert veterinary care prior to offering them for adoption or placing them in a Permanent Foster home.

We are a Foster based rescue and all of our rescued animals will be placed with a family until their furever homes are found

FurEver Pawz Rescue is an all volunteer, soon to be non-profit organization. We exist solely on donations and Corporate sponsors to save our animals.

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Riverside, CA.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
