Rescue FAQs

The original idea for Betty Neblett's sanctuary was to have it be a "last resort" for senior and other dogs who had nowhere else to go and were possibly unadoptable. Over the years Betty has rescued dogs from certain death whether it be being killed/die on the streets or euthanized at a shelter due to space. Many of these dogs are adoptable, but up until now most have not been available for adoption. Betty would like to see if those dogs can find loving homes. Funds are not as easy to come by these days and Betty doesn't take monetary donations, so getting some adopted will help lighten the load.

Additional adoption info

$150 adoption fee
There will be an adoption application and adoption contract.
Home visits will be arranged through a network of rescuers and volunteers throughout the area.
All of these dogs have been living in outdoor play yards and their yards are really nice, so we would prefer for the dogs to have their lives stepped up by becoming indoor dogs and not moving from one outdoor situation to another.
All of the dogs are already spayed/neutered and on HW preventative.

Donations for vetting can be called in to her vet Beard-Navasota Veterinary Hospital in Navasota 936-825-3877 or 888-881-3877. Just tell them to put it on Betty Neblett's account. :) Betty does not have a 501(c)3, so the donations are not tax deductible.
