FUR SISTERS Is a non-profit rescue focusing on Animals in high kill shelters and other urgent situations. We give them loving homes, health care, and support to be the best they can be. Saving their lives gives these animals a voice!

Adoption steps

Submit Application
Applications are reviewed by volunteers who also do background and reference checks. NOTE: We only accept local applications.
Interview
After applicants pass the application review and checks, we set up a phone screening to go over any questions and to request a home video.
Approve Application
Approved applicants do a "sleepover" with the dog before finalizing adoption. This is up to a week or so.

If you are considering adoption but are not 100% sure about the lifetime commitment, please consider fostering!
Fostering allows us to pull dogs from shelters, is at no cost to you, and you get to help save lives. If you decide the furbaby is a good fit for you and your family, you can move forward with the adoption process.
