Happy Day Humane Society in Big Spring is dedicated to providing the best care for our animals quality of life until they find a forever family. We work with several different shelters and rescues in West Texas. Our staff is very caring and attentive to our furry friends. We welcome people from all over the country to adopt and volunteer.
We have a large play yard area where you are able to spend time with any dogs you are interested in adopting and welcome you to bring your pets to meet the potential new family member!

We encourage adoptions all over the country. We help save dogs in the West Texas area.
Adoption steps
- Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
- Meet the PetYou can meet & interact with our dogs in our play yard.
You can meet & interact with our cats in our main lobby. - Submit ApplicationIf you want to hold the animal, you can pay the non-refundable adoption fee.
- Home CheckIf you're adopting a large breed dog, an employee willl come do a fence check. This can be discussed on a case by case basis.
- Sign Adoption Contract
- Take the Pet HomeWe are available even after you take your pet home if you have any questions or problems.
