Rescue FAQs

We are a nonprofit 501C3 organization dedicated to helping neglected and distressed cats and dogs and getting them the help they need. Saving animals and finding them the help they need and placing them in a loving home is so rewarding to us. We are not selective in which animals we rescue. They all deserve a chance no matter their color, breed or condition. We know that we cant save them all, but our thinking is "Why not try?"
We are a smaller foster based rescue group with no boundaries. We have pulled dogs from shelters from across Texas. Because we are a foster based rescue we are only able to take dogs in when we have a committed foster available. We mainly serve the greater East Texas Area but have been known to take dogs on from as far as Austin, Houston, & Dallas.

Additional adoption info

There is an adoption application we require to be filled out and approved first. We check a vaccination history and heartworm prevention history by calling the veterinarian listed on the application.

There is a home visit prior to adoption. Some times this isn't possible because of the distance and in that case we make other arrangements.

We also require a meet and greet. If out of state the adopter would pay for a health certificate to travel across state lines. Usually this is around $20.00 in addition to the adoption fee. The adoption fee ranges based on the animal.
