Shelter FAQs

We are Fairfield County Animal Control and Adoption Center. As a municipal shelter, we take in the county’s stray, abandoned, and neglected animals, providing them with care, safety, and the chance to find loving new homes. We struggle with overpopulations resulting often in more animals in the shelter than we have space or adaptors for.
We serve the citizens of Fairfield County, SC but welcome adopters from neighboring counties as well.

Additional adoption info

Once an application is completed and approved there is an adoption fee of $80 for dogs and $40 for cats.
