House of Mews is an all-volunteer, foster based, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to rescuing abused and abandoned stray cats and kittens in Northeast Ohio.
To prepare our fosters for their forever homes, we nurture and socialize them in safe, loving environments. Provide time to heal along with needed medical services if necessary.

House of Mews Rescue adopts to Ohio residents of Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, and Lake counties. Adoptions to residents of other counties are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Adoption steps
- Submit ApplicationComplete our no-obligation Adoption Application, which will be sent to our Adoption Coordinator for review.
- InterviewA HOM volunteer will reach out to you to discuss your application within 24-48 hours after an application has been submitted.
- Sign Adoption ContractIf approved, you sign a HOM Adoption Contract where you agree to provide a safe healthy environment & yearly wellness visits from your vet
- Pay FeeAdoption Fees:
Kittens up to six months $125 or 2 for $200
Kittens over six months $100 or 2 for $250
Cats one year or older $50
Additional adoption info
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, 1st vaccination, worming, and testing for FIV and Feline leukemia virus (FeLV).
