Rescue FAQs

Since 1987 we have been convinced that if we as individuals and as a group, Pa. Pets, dedicate our energies toward solving the problem of pet overpopulation, that we can make a definite impact.

We believe that spaying and neutering animals is getting directly to the source of the sad problem of unwanted and homeless animals. We feel like we are taking control of a problem rather than dealing with it after it happens as rescues must do.

Certainly there are many other contributing factors, but they pale in light of the uncontrolled breeding that has been allowed to take place.

Most recently we have launched a feral cat program which is directed toward spaying and neutering strays, barn and feral cats. It is unlikely that there are many places that do not have these poor creatures starving, neglected and reproducing. It is not their fault. They did not choose this life, but we can help them and start making a difference. We can provide the solutions if we all work together, one cat, one colony and one area at a time.

High volume sterilization is a necessary step for communities in order for them to control the pet overpopulation. We believe the informed public is now realizing that this problem is a financial drain on their areas as well as a safety issue, not even to mention the social and compassion aspects.

Our mission is to spay and neuter cats and dogs until such time as there are no more homeless or unwanted animals.

We recently started to oversee two sanctuaries with many adoptable cats.
