DoVE Project's Adoption Process

1. Submit Application

Please submit an application on https://www.dove-project.org/adoption-application-form

2. Interview

After reviewing applications for each pup, our team may contact you for a phone interview.

3. Home Check

Please send us a video or multiple photos of your home, interior and exterior.

4. Approve Application

A group decision will be made based on what we believe is the best fit for both the pet and for your family.

5. Take the Pet Home

The pup will come home with you for a 2-week trial.

6. Sign Adoption Contract

7. Pay Fee

The adoption fee is paid at the end of the 2-week trial.

An application form must be completed, which will be followed by a phone interview and either a home inspection or receipt of interior/exterior home photos.

Application can be found here https://www.dove-project.org/adoption-application-form

Please check our dog's Adopt-a-pet profile for his/her adoption fee.
Our adoption fee schedule:
$850 for young pups (4 mos–12 mos)
$800 for young dogs (13 mos–24 mos)
$750 for older dogs (24 mos and up)

** As of 7/15/20, we have raised adoption fees by $100, as every DoVE dog will be provided with GPS monitored Fi Collars. Rescued animals can be a flight risk and from time to time we receive frantic calls from our adopters about their missing dog. This is a nerve wracking experience for everyone and occasionally ends in tragedy. This increase will help ensure the safety of your dog as DoVE Project will provide the Fi Collar and 1 year of monitoring .

*Please note, the adoption fee may be different depending on the breed, age, and type of dog. The adoption fee will be confirmed with you upon further communication.*

For all adoptions, there is a 2-week trial period, after which adoptions will be finalized and the remainder of the adoption fee is due.

About DoVE Project

DoVE Project (Dogs of Violence Exposed) is a 501(c)3 animal welfare, rights and protection organization. As our name is clearly stated, our aim is to end the Dog Meat Trade in S. Korea and other parts of the world where the dogs are slaughtered for human consumption. The condition in which these dogs are raised, bred and slaughtered is extremely brutal and inhumane. We rescue these dogs from dog farms, slaughterhouses, or dogs destined to enter into dog meat trade or be slaughtered to be eaten. Many female dogs that are rescued from the farms/slaughter houses are pregnant and oftentimes their puppies are brought to USA for adoption. Part of our campaign to end the DMT in Korea is rescue work in parallel in conjunction with our campaign to raise awareness and education within Korea.

Come Meet DoVE Project's Pets
