Rescue FAQs
Save-A-Mutt is dedicated to creating awareness about the number of adoptable dogs in shelters and rescues... and to find every dog its forever home! We do this by raising funds to A) cover the costs of transporting litters of puppies from high kill shelters to spay/neuter and adopt out; B) Focus on the welfare and final placement of Senior Dogs relinquished at area shelters, and C) assist and support local rescue groups. In addition, we hold a firm belief that 'Puppies aren't Products' and hope to stop the sale of puppies and kittens in Washington State pet stores.
Save-A-Mutt adopts throughout Washington State.
We will adopt to northern Oregon, and we happily adopt to Canada, British Columbia area.

Adoption steps
- Submit ApplicationVisit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out application. We don't do meet & greets until applications are approved.
- InterviewOnce application had been processed, references checked, etc. - we will arrange a phone interview.
- Take the Pet HomeOnce apps are approved we arrange the meet and greet, and adoption day. Contracts will be signed, we will share medical, etc.
