Shelter FAQs

The Forney Animal Shelter is a beautiful facility. We pick up stray animals within the city limits of Forney and take owner surrenders when space permits. Stray animals that have microchips are held for 10 days. Animals without i.d. are held for 3 days. If the animals are not reunited with owners within the holding period, they can be adopted. We have both dogs and cats available at the shelter.
