Golden puppies up to three months old need 18 to 20 hours of sleep a day. By six months of age, they’ll sleep 16 to 18 hours per day. Between six months and nine years old, you can expect your Golden Retriever to need 10 to 14 hours of sleep. Finally, in their senior years, they may sleep 16 to 20 hours per day.
