What color are Flat-Coated Retrievers?

Flat-Coated Retrievers come in two primary colors: black and liver (a rich, dark brown). These colors are solid and uniform throughout the dog’s coat. These coat colors should appear rich and glossy. Although not an accepted color by the breed standard, sometimes a yellow coat does occur.
