My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What can I say about myself. I was abandoned on the side of the road in Spartanburg, SC. ACO found me with a massive tumor on my side, mammary tumors, filthy, dirty and hungry. I was taken to the kill shelter in Greenville, SC. No one knew I was there. I was not placed on a list, my picture was not taken. I mean who wants an older broken Beagle right?

I was wrong, people shared my ACO picture and CLHR saw me being taken to the euth room at Greenville. The rescue supervisor and CLHR pulled me out of the Euth room and saved my life. I could smell death and with a matter of minutes I was loaded into the Hound Mobile and on my way to the Hospital. All of my tumors were removed and I am one healthy girl now.

I have been in foster care for a a while now and I was going to be in retirement. After my foster mom has been watching me bloom and break out of my shell she thinks I need to be available for adoption. No need to be selfish there is someone out there that wants to make me theirs. Someone that has a huge heart and yard.

I am a very independent lady. I eat, sleep and go outside to sniff. I run in the yard non stop and sniff the ground while I bark..I love doing that. I could do that all day but they come and get me to come inside so I do not overheat. I am a sniffer..I love to sniff. I live to sniff. SO you have to have a secured yard for me or my nose will take me to California if the scent is right.

I love my foster parents but I still fall on my back when they approach me, I just can not help myself. I do the low crawl to them and then I roll over...I trust them but I think I have been scared so many years out of my life it is habit now.

I tolerate other dogs. I let them be if they leave me alone. When I come inside I will either go into the living room and lay on my favorite pillow or I go into a crate and sleep. I eat in my crate since I have the growlies around my food. Hey you go as hungry as I was for as long as I was and tell me how you want someone to sniff your food. Ya, I thought so!

When i am on my bed I do not want another dog to bother me. I will growl, but they all know I am cranky so they leave me alone. I have earned my right to be cranky my foster mom says. I live with a lot of other dogs and we have no issues, they respect my space and I ignore them. Simple as that!
