My story

**Dr. Cooper is located in Bloomingdale, IL**

Bazinga! My name is Dr. Sheldon Cooper and I'm 6 months old.

Much like my namesake I do not like to be touched. I love other cats and dogs and I like some people too. Just don't expect me to show it (to the people at least). I will eat from your hand but I spook easily if you try to pick me up. I am very smart and if you try to catch me I will anticipate your every move. Bazinga! If you like a cat who will treat you like Dr. Sheldon Cooper treats Amy Farrah Fowler, I am the cat for you! (But we think with lots of work and "love bombing" he will eventually come out of his shell)

I have had all my shots and have been neutered.

All cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, current on their vaccinations, feline leukemia/FIV tested, per age; treated for fleas/ticks and urgently awaiting adoption!

The dogs and cats are so very appreciative of your support. Together we can save these forsaken loving 'innocents' who are condemned to death.

More about this rescue

We are a group of individuals, groups, volunteers, workers, veterinarians, independent rescuers, humane investigators, transporters, a coalition of humane societies, shelters, humane organizations, shelters, not-for profit organizations, pounds, well... Just regular people, scattered throughout the state of Illinois and beyond. We strive for the rescue and humane care and treatment of the animals in our community, state and throughout our country. Together we are savings over 7,000 lives yearly.

Illinois Animal Rescue, Inc. is 501(c)(3), not for profit and no-kill.

Our goals are to ensure that every animal is treated with the respect that they deserve; to educate our communities on the importance of spaying or neutering their pets to solve the pet overpopulation problem; the humane treatment and care of all animals and the rescue and transportation of the many animals that are being put to death in our communities every day, due to no fault of their own.

We are so very appreciative of your support, and will continue to grow our network bigger and better. In the coming year, we will continue our goal to rescue every single animal in Illinois, gain exposure for the pounds in need and develop good relationships with only the best rescues that meet our criteria.
