Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Updated 2/23/14. Romeo is a very cute 5 year old, 13 lb. little Schnoodle who came to The Nest after he was surrendered at a local shelter. Romeo's personality is definitely more the one of a independent terrier. While he gets very attached to his person, he does not always want to sit on your lap or be cuddled. He gets along fine with other dogs as long as they accept that he is the boss, he is competitive when it comes to attention. He would most likely do best as an only dog. Romeo LOVES to be active - he loves going for long walks and explore a fenced in yard. He loves to be with his person all the time but is not clingy. Whoever adopts him needs to understand that while Romeo is super cute and thus tempts everybody to snuggle and kiss him, he does not enjoy affection unless he is in the mood for it. It takes him a few days to warm up to his new person and it is best to not cater to him too much during this time. He is apparently rather sensitive to change but overbearing him with affection does not work with him. You need to let him come to you. Once he gets to know you and bonds with you, he is your best friend. Romeo knows commands such as "sit", "down" and "come". He does well in a crate when properly introduced and he is quiet. He is overall very well behaved and 100% housebroken. For Romeo we are looking for calm home where his new person(s) understand his needs. Romeo is neutered, current on vaccinations, he tested negative for heartworm. If you are interested in adopting Romeo please fill out an adoption application on our web site www.inthenest.net (make sure you write something in each bar or it won't go through). An application has to be filled out prior to setting up a meeting. Romeo's adoption fee is $200.
