Shadow is a VERY loving kitty who, until recently was a stray that came by our house to find food and shelter since he was about 6 months old. He was a scared kitty who did not trust humans at all. Many a day, we would greet him and talk to him from afar, trying our best to let him know that we wished him no harm. Slowly, over time, he would come closer and closer...always wary and aware of us and his surroundings.
After 1.5 years or so, he decided we were really ok and walked right up to us on our porch and without hesitation, jumped up into my lap like he has been there the whole time. SHOCK...AWE...how great is this!!
After that first moment, he has been one of the more affectionate felines I have met. He LOVES attention and is very verbal about asking for it. He is a MAJOR lap kitty and has a purr that is so loud, you sometimes can't talk over it.
He has a set of cheeks on him that are amazing. He sometimes looks like he has them stuffed with nuts (think hamster).
We must find him a loving, caring home that will allow him to be indoors where he belongs. (Currently he is an outdoor kitty, which we very much dislike having ANY kitty outdoors).
We have 5 rescues indoors already and Shadow would probably be best as an only cat. He MIGHT integrate into a home with another cat, but it's hard to tell ATM with him being outdoors his whole life.
Shadow is a major snuggler and loving cat. Given the chance, I'm sure he would be the perfect companion to someone.
He is current on all his shots and test...fe-luk and feline aids...NEGATIVE (woohoo).
He likes one type and flavor of canned food....and ONE ONLY...(and his treats) weird I know...but that's my Shadow.
