Meet Marley, our new little long-haired Dachshund! After a long and painful journey, he's now ready for his '€˜forever'€™ home!
This January, Marley's prognosis was bleak when he was surrendered by his owners to the Emergency Clinic for euthanasia, paralyzed and unable to walk. After emergency surgery and a couple of months of rehab, Marley is not only walking, but his is running! He's one of our happiest little guys... getting along well with everybody, he enjoys playing with the other foster dogs, and loves running and exploring the yard! Marley is well housetrained and crate trained, and rides well in a car. He still has a little weakness in his rear legs, but his doctors say he will continue to improve for about 6 months after surgery.
Marley's owners said that he is a purebred long-haired Dachshund. He'€™s an adorable little 4-year-old boy, only weighing about 7-lbs and with piebald coloration. He's a wonderful little guy with a wonderful temperament.
We are looking for a special home for Marley... one with experienced Dachshund owners who would love to add another little Doxie to their family.
Marley is neutered, current on his Rabies, DHLP/Parvo, and Bordetella vaccines, dewormed, tested negative for Heartworms, and is on Heartworm and flea prevention.
Marley's adoption fee is $200.00.
