My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When Sam was spotted at the shelter, the report was that this little guy was depressed and we need to move fast to get him safe.
Sam came into his foster home as a welcomed addition, as we introduced Sam to the 2 resident Britts, there was no drama. All the dogs greeted each other and it was like he had been an old friend of the family’s. Sam’s attitude is laid back and he has nothing to prove (to be top dog), he is just grateful to be safe.
Sam is an orange & white senior Britt (9 yrs old) who stands only 18” tall (at the shoulder) with the cutest docked tail. He has a great disposition and gets along great with everyone that he meets. Sam also has great house manners; we only crated him for the first few days while we were at work. Now he has free roam of the house with the other dogs, enjoying his days sleeping in my husband’s Lazy Boy.
Sam will let you know if it’s been too long since he had that bathroom break as he will go to the door and bark. Sam must have a secure physical fenced-in yard because he is a runner. Sam does very well on a leash and loves to go for walks, and knows a few tricks/commands but needs to work on COME. Sam greets us at the door when we come home from work/school. He is still a bit shy on playing with toys but he likes you to make a fuss with him.
Sam is waiting for that special family to give him his forever home during his Golden Years.
So if you are looking for a great pet, Sam is it.

It has been discovered that Sam does not like cats, so he needs to go to a home with NO cats

Sam is UTD on all his shots as well as heartworm negative and on preventative.

Sam was rescued from a kill shelter in Pennsylvania.
