My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our little Superhero Katia, a 4 year old collie mix weighing just 30lbs. She is a very calm and affectionate girl who loves nothing more than to put her paws on your shoulder and give soft, wet kisses.

Why is this lovely girl a Superhero? In her short life Katia has saved the lives of over 30 dogs with the gift of the special antibodies in her blood. She is a distemper survivor and allowed the shelter vets to take samples of her special blood so they could create life-saving treatments for sick dogs. Completely healthy now, Katia has sure earned her chance for a loving forever home in Canada.

Katia loves to play with other dogs and would do well in a home where there are other playful furry residents.

She is learning how to walk nicely on a leash, to sit for treats and that soft beds are wonderful places for naps.

Katia would prefer a home that is more on the quiet side rather than loud and hectic.

Katia will bond quickly with her new family and wants to trust her people.
