My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oh Lollipop! What a sweet, petite girl you are! Happy and friendly, Lollipop loves to say hello to everyone she sees. Not a typical aloof Jindo, that’s for sure. Lollipop even loves other dogs! She’s tiny at only about 30 pounds fully healthy and she’s a bright, agile 5 years young. Car rides are one of her favorite things, and she enjoys flying too. She flew first class thanks to Pilots N Paws who trasported her from VA to NJ. What’s up with her skin you ask? Well, this is from allergies, either food, environmental or both. We aren’t exactly sure yet but she’s on treatment to clear her skin infection and she’s been put on a raw diet to eliminate any food allergies. Her original owners had her for 5 years and left her condition untreated for the last year they had her before finally surrendering her to the shelter. Lollipop would do best in a home with another active dog that will play with her and tolerate her female Jindo pushiness with other dogs. Yes, she’s a Pushy-Pop! Lollipop does have a high prey drive so we would not recommend a home with cats or small animals. Lollipop is one Jindo not to pass up. Her skin will heal and she’ll be a stunning girl in no time at all. Lollipop is currently being fostered in Rutherford, NJ.

Jindos are a rare breed from Korea and researching the breed is highly recommended. Experience with Akitas, Shiba Inus, Sharpei, Chows, Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, Samoyeds, American Eskimos and a similar Spitz breed is preferred. Knowledge of the Nothing in Life is Free theory and/or Cesar Millan’s methods are essential for a successful adoption.
