Hi there, my name is Maisey. I am one of the Super Seniors here at the shelter, and my personal Super Power is INDEPENDENT CAMARADERIE!! Super Seniors Adoption Program was made possible through a generous grant from the ASPCA. I am 10 years young, and I came to the shelter because my previous owner fell ill and could no longer take care of me. While I love to be petted, and be close to you, I'm not one to sit in your lap or be held. I prefer simple side by side companionship, and if you've got a little catnip to offer me, I am one happy kitty. I am a true lounger, loving sunny napping spots and window sills to sit in. I am a great observer and love to be around my human friends. When I am adopted, I would prefer to be an only pet; as my Super Power suggests, I am a rather independent gal. I also would like to move in to a home with adults only. Did I mention that I am a special needs adoption? My thyroid gives me a bit of trouble so the veterinarians have me taking medicine daily and say I need to have blood work every once in a while to monitor it. If you don't mind helping me keep in good health then I won't mind helping you keep yourself in good health too. If you are looking for a mellow feline companion, please come visit me today!
