My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Shy Girl

Honeysuckle (also known as 'Tabby') was born 02/15/2013.  She is a GORGEOUS BLUE TABBY with Awesome Gold Eyes!

Honeysuckle can be as sweet as the flower from which she was named, but she is extremely timid and shy when you first meet her.  She is loving, playful, curious and plays well with other cats!  Other cats love her but we believe she would be fine without a companion.

Honeysuckle (Tabby) needs someone with a lot of patience because she was not treated very well by humans early in her life.  Once she decides you are okay?, she will crawl into your lap and love and roll on you as if you were made of catnip!

Once she gains your trust she LOVES to be right up against you or in your lap when you are watching television.  She also loves to sleep with you.

Gaining her trust is most definitely going to be a challenge so she needs someone very familiar with feline behavior.

Honeysuckle (Tabby) was found under a car after having given birth to kittens.  She and her babies were struggling against the fire ants that were all over them.

Please consider giving Honeysuckle (Tabby) her FUR-EVER home because if you do - you will have unconditional love from this little girl!

Additional adoption info

Adoption Fees start at $100.00 and depend on the pet. Some have had extensive surgeries and rehabilitation. We have an application/Contract process. We do an In Home visit, especially with hard to place pets. We will need a vet and 2 other references. We can arrange a private appointment with the foster if desired.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Paws does the majority of adoptions through Applications submitted on our Website at www.pawsrescue.org .
We have an application process which is designed to find the best home for a particular pet. Paws assists with humane education and low cost spay and neuter information. We do not have a shelter. All our adoptable pets are placed in individual foster homes until adopted sometimes taking months. None of our adoptable pets are euthanized to make space.

More about this rescue

Paws Animal Rescue, Inc. is an ALL VOLUNTEER Non Profit, 501-C-3 Organization that began in May 1999 in Alvin, Texas. All funds received (donations and adoption fees) are used directly to the benefit of the animals. There are NO paid employees at Paws Animal Rescue. Paws is a TARPA (Texas Acceptance and Release Program) Certified Organization. Please remember “UNTIL THERE ARE NONE, ADOPT ONE”.

Paws saw the need to rescue adoptable cats and dogs at animal control facilities where the holding days can be as little as 3 to 5 days. Paws never adopts a pet until it has been completely vetted and most importantly spayed and neutered. We network with all shelters with lists of available cats and dogs. If we do not have what they are looking for we find someone who does.
