Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kate is a very energetic greyhound, flying up and down the stairs in her foster home following "auntie". She generally gets along well with the 3 pet greyhound girls in the home and the male Italian greyhound.
Kate sleeps through the night until the newspaper is thrown into the patio just outside the kitchen, which awakes her. She eats very well, walks well on a "short leash", and enjoys riding in the van. She is excellent in the crate where she stays when her foster mom is at work or otherwise away from the house.
She is an alpha girl with regard to the resident dogs and may do well as an only dog in an adoptive home.
Kate has not yet been cat-tested but is showing extreme interest in the outside cats in the townhouse complex, and the quick moving squirrels.
While very confident in that thunder and lightning and loud noises do not seem to bother her, sudden appearances of other leashed dogs or a teenager on a bicycle do startle Kate into barking. Her foster mom is working with her to minimize this response.
Kate is very affectionate and thrives on attention. She gives little licks to show her affection and zest for life.
