My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Baxter and I'm a sweet 19-month-old (on 2/24/08) brindle Boxer who needs a 'forever' home. My original owners moved away, leaving me chained to a tree. I don't know why they did that, since I loved them and thought I was a member of their family. That time was very frightening, but a wonderful neighbor came and rescued me from that chain. He took me to his home and gave me food to eat and a nice warm bed on which to sleep. Boy, was I ever a lucky boy! Unfortunately, my original family must not have known about heartworms (which could have killed me) and didn't have me on heartworm prevention, so I tested positive for heartworms. I feel that I'm extra-lucky, because I have been treated for the heartworms, and my doctor says I am now heartworm-free.

I love my foster dad and my foster home, but now that I'm fully healthy, I need my 'forever' home. I am well housetrained, and promise to have good house manners. I do enjoy being a couch-potato, so if I could have a home that would give me a comfy couch, that would be fabulous! My foster dod has taught me all my basic commands, and I promise not to jump up on people unless they ask me to. I enjoy the company of the female Boxer in my foster home, but do not like the male Boxer. I really love to be around humans, and would love a family where I can be the center of attention. Do you have that special 'forever' home for me?

Baxter is neutered, is current on hisRabies, DHP/Parvo, and Bordetella vaccines. He has been treated for heartworms and has tested heartworm-free.

Baxter's adoption fee is $150.00.
