My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Coco and I right now I feel like a very lucky girl, since I was rescued from Animal Control by some nice people from Forever Home Canine Rescue. You see, at Animal Control I was tested for heartworms, so that meant that I wouldn't be put up for adoption, even though they thought I was very sweet. I know I'm older and have some problems, but I still have lots of love to give. The people at FHCR also thought I should have a second chance at the good life, so they said they are going to take care of me and see that I live out the rest of my days in a nice warm home with lots of TLC.

I'm just a little girl (only weigh 16 lbs) and have very pretty medium-length chocolate brown hair with blond highlights and feathering. My foster mom thinks I look like a miniature Border Collie or long-haired Dachshund, even though I don't have short legs. I'm very friendly and loving and get along with other friendly dogs, but I don't play with them. At my foster home I'm a couch potato, but I also have plenty of energy and enjoy being outside and going for long walks. I have impecable house manners, and would never dream of having an 'accident' in the house. Do you have a space for a little girl like me in your heart and home?

Coco is current on her Rabies, DHP/Parvo, and Bordetella vaccines., and has been dewormed. She is heartworm positive and has had all her heartworm treatments to rid her of the heartworms. She will now be spayed and have a dental cleaning.

Coco's adoption fee is $150.00.

If you are interested in Coco, and think you may have room in your heart and home for her, please e-mail us at pets@foreverhomek9rescue.org for additional information, photos, or to request an application.
