My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Piper is a very independent, sweet 5 year old bundle of love. She is a licker too. In fact, if you get too close to her while talking to her you will end up with a snout or tongue in your mouth. She is happy to be lying on the floor near you and will sometimes climb into your lap if she is feeling particularly feisty.

She is a talker too. She makes a great guard dog, as she will bark at anyone she notices outside the front window. She is also not shy about waking you in the middle of the night for a potty break and please don't ignore her or you will find a wet mess in the morning. She is crate trained although we have not crated her since she has been with us. She is not a counter surfer and won't beg while you eat. She sits patiently for a treat and absolutely will not miss meal time. She tends to eat much too quickly so we feed her a little at a time so she can come up for air. She doesn't pull on walks and doesn't mind riding in the car.

She is sweet with children and her toys. She has a 'baby' she walks around the house with, it is the cutest thing. She doesn't assume that every room in the house is hers to explore. She will wait on an invitation to enter a new room or the house. She is mild mannered but won't bow down to another dog if she feels threatened. She is also easily startled by sudden noises and raised voices or laughing, but storms do not seem to affect her.

Piper came in with her bonded littermate Scout and they'll need to go to a home together. We wouldn't want to break these two beautiful dogs up now would we?
