My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poor Georgia girl has had a rough start in life. After ending up at the shelter, she was adopted into a home that wasn't allowed to have pets. Four months later, Georgia was rehomed where two months later, we can only assume she escaped from or was dumped on the street to fend for herself.

A couple of neighbors spotted this young lady running loose near a busy intersection, they were unable to catch her, but left food for her where they thought she was hiding out. After a couple of weeks we read an online posting talking about this girl, to which we went out and were able to capture her. Georgia had been living in a storm drain for some time, was infested with fleas, but escaped this horrible situation unharmed.

We were able to track down the original adopter through microchip information, learn more about her history, and finally be able to find this sweet young lady a true forever home.

Georgia is an absolutely adorable beagle mix, weighing in at 40lbs, she is really a great size. She is amazingly potty trained and can hold her bladder easily for 12-18 hours if needed. She thinks she is a lap dog, is incredibly gentle and thus far we have found no behavioral issues to speak of. We have not heard her bark once in the weeks we've had her, she gets along GREAT with dogs of all sizes and play styles, as well as cats. She is submissive, happy, and healthy. All she needs now is a place to call home!

Pardon the terrible photos, Georgia is not very photogenic.
