My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

03/15/2015: GUCCI UPDATE

Gucci has blossomed in rescue! He is very smart, very sweet and very handsome!...and has gained over 20 pounds! He came into rescue at about 48 pounds, he currently weighs 72 pounds! His coat, once stained brown from urine and waste, is now nice and white!

01/25/15: A Sinful Case Of Neglect

New Hampshire Police are searching for any information leading to the abuser/s of a timid, emaciated male dog that was discovered walking on the side of a road over the weekend of December 9, 2014.

The skeletal, neglected dog was not wearing any type of identification and it is surmised that he was abandoned. Aside from his glaringly horrendous physical condition (lack of body fat), this poor dog showed other signs of neglect which included grossly overgrown nails and an unkempt coat stained with urine and feces...all indicators that he was kept confined to a small space ( i.e. crate or outside dog house/kennel).

This poor soul was kept in quarantine for 14 days and then kenneled for an additional 17 days at which time we received a call asking for our help. We quickly made arrangements for this sad looking boy to come into our Rescue program and one of our volunteers went to pick him up the following day.

The first order of business besides giving him lots of reassurance was a nice warm bath. So far he has been a sweet cooperative young man. He is enjoying the companionship of other dogs, snuggling in a warm bed and relishing good food. We will have more information in the days to follow.

If you have any information about the history of this dog please contact us so we can relay the details to the police.
