Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gizmo is a 10.5 year old, 6. 5 pound little Chihuahua! When you meet him you will think he is 5 years old! Check out his little video ! Gizmo is house trained with both wee pads and walks – depending on the weather. Giz is extremely social and loving to all people. Wants to be a lapdog. Shy around other dogs initially. Will cuddle and play with other dogs once comfortable. Is interested in cats. If cats exhibit prey-like behavior he will chase and bark but NEVER bites. Kids – he loves loves loves them ! (This summer in Maine a mob of them chased him up and down the beach and he was in heaven.)
Gizmo’s energy level is Mellow and relaxed for much of the day, exuberant and playful when "events" happen. A new person comes over, going for a walk, getting fed, or if a person initiates play. We have had many people tell me that the vet must have made a mistake when saying he's 10-11, that he looks/acts 5-6 ! Gizmo would love to be with a family and another pup !.
He Loves small toys - fetch, sometimes tug. With other dogs, he likes to play, and is an excellent sharer. He will actually bring another dog a toy and then go and get one for himself so they can both chew. Gizmo Loves kids - is gentle and playful if they are.
At 6.5 pounds he is also very transportable ! He will even go on the subway with little anxiety. Will curl up and fall asleep on your lap after the first couple stops.
With strangers, he gives kisses, plays, and shows off with a toy.
He truly is the sweetest and most innocent, benevolent dog you could ever meet !
