Amber is a beautiful Golden Retriever girl who was surrendered to The Nest by an individual who had to move to an elderly care facility. Amber is 7 years old and in excellent shape. She likes to be active as well as curling up right next to you. Amber is very sweet and she is very well behaved in the house. If you like goldens and are looking for a fun and loyal companion, Amber is it!
"Amber is a very sweet, loyal, gentle dog who gets along well with people and other dogs. She is extremely affectionate with people and with our male golden. She is friendly with all whom she meets, and enjoys other dogs if properly introduced. She rarely barks. She does not chew stuff up or pick up objects or trash on walks. She sleeps very well at night, by herself. We have been working with her every day on leash training and she is walking well on the leash. She occasionally gets excited on her walks by other dogs and we hold her and let others pass. A fenced yard would be good but not necessary if she gets enough walking time.”
For Amber we are looking for a home with someone who can provide the exercise she so much craves. A fenced yard would be great, but not a requirement if she gets enough walking time. We are uncertain about how she would respond to a cat. Whoever adopts her needs to be physically fit to handle her as she can be strong on the lead. She should never be left outside unsupervised as she has a history of escaping.
Amber is very healthy, she is current on vaccinations including Rabies, she is spayed, on heartworm/flea prevention and she is micro chipped. She comes with all medical history/records.
