My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shelby is a 4 1/2 year old, pure bred, rough sable and white female collie that has already been spayed. Shelby's owners' hearts are broken to have to give up this beautiful sweet girl, but their circumstances required it.

She is great with cats and is very submissive with other dogs. She is well behaved in the house and rides very nicely in the car. Shelby is pretty timid and shy, so she will need a quiet home with no small children. There can be another mellow dog to play with or she can be a only dog. It is possible that with some reassurance, she may overcome some of her shyness. She is very sweet and non aggressive. Shelby is a velcro dog. She would like a home preferably with people that would love to spend time just hanging out with her. Like someone that works from home or is retired, etc.

In her foster home, she has attempted to play with the other dogs, but is not real sure about it yet. She may become more comfortable with time and she does want to play. She is an "easy" dog. All she wants are pets and lots of love to make her a happy girl. New 05.01.2008.
