BETTY IS IN A FOSTER HOME IN VIRGINIA BEACH, VA
Betty is a 3 year old Belgian Malinois who comes from working lines and is a working line dog that has been living as a companion Dog. Betty needs a leader and someone who understands the breed. Betty is a Ferrarri. She needs an owner who can handle her. Betty lived her life with a woman whose health deteriorated to the point where she was no longer capable of taking proper care of Betty.
Betty weighs about 60 lbs soaking wet. Betty is in excellent physical condition. Betty has been spayed and all of her shots are currently up to date. Like most Malinois, Betty is a high energy athlete of a Dog. Betty needs to be with a person or people who can make certain that she gets the opportunity to run.
Presently we run Betty next to the bicycle. Betty can run 2 miles like it’s nothing.
Betty is very clean and is totally house broken, obedience trained with all commands in English. Betty is good on a leash and is a very smart dog. Betty is crate trained and that is where she sleeps.
Betty is currently being fostered in our home with 4 other Dogs. 2 males and 2 females. She does well with the males and one of the females who is submissive. Betty does not get along well with the other dominant female and will not back down from a dominant female, in fact, she will attempt to dominate and will start a fight but she gets along great with submissive dogs. The pictures demonstrate that. We have to keep Betty separate from the other dominate dog in our house. Betty has never been around small children so we are not recommending that she go to a home with small children. She may do well with older teenagers that are respectful and understand this breed. She is a very strong Dog and needs a strong confident family to be with.
Betty comes with a Vari-Kennel, all of the chew toys you’d need and a leash. Betty is ready to go home and will make an excellent companion dog and wonderful addition to any family or individual who understands the Belgian Malinois breed.
