Hi World!
My name is Teddy and I’m about the size of a teddy bear, weighing only 12 pounds. I’m a beautiful little bichon of about one, with a silky soft coat, one brown and one blue eye and a mischievous way about me. While Mom thinks everything I do is cute, her favorite is how ‘helpful’ I am. For example when I go outside to do my business (which happens to be near the golf cart) I take care of things very quickly (because I’m smart) then I jump in the driver’s side of the cart and am ready to go. That makes Mom laugh! While she appreciates my cuteness and willingness to drive, she says I’m not quite big enough to drive. Aw gee, Mom, I’m fully grown!
It’s true that I am super friendly and make new friends wherever I go. I’m not nervous or unsure in new situations. You can take me to the dog park, a friend’s home, for a ride to almost anywhere. I’m a happy guy who pays attention, likes to please and thinks everyone is going to love me – and they do!
Speaking of love, I love to play with toys of all kinds – and I love to fetch! I have this favorite plush toy that I like to fetch, from one end of the room to the other. Mom says I have perfected the "chase and slide" technique! She thinks I’m simply adorable and could watch me for hours.
As much as I love my toys I’m also good at sharing them (with my doggy foster brothers.) We get along well and like to chase and play with each other. I’m a good sport too ‘cause I let them climb on me. I roll over on my back and wiggle – and they know it’s ‘climb on Teddy time.’
And I like human kids, too, not just furkids! When I meet new kids I wiggle and give kisses. Even though I’m a young guy and love to play, I can be gentle and mellow. (I know the value of a nice lap and a snuggle!)
Mom says to tell you that I know a lot of things already. I’m housebroken and know commands like “sit” and “lie down” and “no”. (Of course I know “fetch!”) I’m also learning that I can stay in a crate but much prefer sleeping in my bed or the Big People’s bed. I’m also very good about sharing my (doggy) bed with my FurKid foster brother. It gets a little crowded but we love to snuggle!
So if you’re looking for a sweet little cuddlebug who is playful and loving, and have another an active family and perhaps another furkid for me to play with, I might be the one for you.
