My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sunny came to us as a stray and wasn't claimed by an owner. Although we are not sure what his breed mix is, we have had his brothers and sisters also come through as strays or owner surrenders and we have heard all different kinds of breeds suggested in these dogs! What we do know for sure is that they were born on the Rez and the litter was given away free to whomever would take a pup. Some say pomeranian is in the mix, as well as pug. All good guesses. He is about 1 year old. Sunny went right away to a foster home, so we have learned quite a bit about him. His foster mom says he is a sweetheart, loves to play exuberantly with other dogs, and loves to go for walks. He loves chew toys and likes to keep busy. He is crate trained and knows its bedtime when he is asked to go in his crate for the night. He is not housetrained, although she is working on that with him. If he is left outside in the yard, he looks for a way to get out, because he's a "do-er". He want to do something, like play with other dogs!! He is not excited to go for car rides, because so far, it's only been to the vet, or to come to the shelter. But when he is going from those locations, he is happy to go back home! He's quite the character, and his foster mom would love to keep him, but then she can't foster more dogs. What a cute and friendly guy. If you want to meet Sunny, please call the shelter and we will make sure he is there waiting for you!

Pupdate - Sunny came to the shelter today for a session with the trainer, and this little guy is a fast learner! He is super motivated to earn treats, and quickly figures out what behavior gets rewarded with a treat or petting. He's an amazing smart little guy! He also got to enjoy himself in several play groups.

Sunny's adoption fee is $150 and includes neuter, current vaccines, microchip, free vet visit, 30 days free pet health insurance, and custom engraved ID tag.
