My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mercy came to us in early February covered in burns all down her side. Teenage boys poured hot grease down her, leaving her with severe burns. Just 3 days after we got her, she broke out with parvo and was hospitalized for 5 days. Luckily, Mercy survived parvo. She was pregnant upon intake, but sadly with the combination of parvo and anemia, the puppies did not make it and we had to do an emergency spay. Also, to ours and the vet's surprise, Mercy's hair has almost completely grown back where she was burned. The hair is more of a brown and it is thin, however she looks wonderful! Mercy has probably had 2-3 litters of puppies in the past, and has also had her ears cut by either scissors or a pocket knife. Mercy has had a rough go at it, but that doesn't stop her. She is finally ready for her forever home! Mercy is a 2 year old, 45lb pit bull mix. She does good with submissive dogs of her size and larger. She is not good with small dogs. Mercy also is great with kids and loves them! Mercy is housetrained, cratetrained, knows "sit" and "shake", and is working on other commands in her foster home. She is very playful, loves fetch, and is a total waterdog! She's also very sweet and loves to curl up to watch movies. Mercy comes microchipped, spayed, vaccinated, and a clean bill of health from our vet, for an adoption fee of only $75. Mercy is currently being fostered in Waco.
