Savory: 4 yr old male Champagne Mink Tonkinese
MUST BE ADOPTED WITH SORREL
Ah, the Big Boys: Savory and Sorrel. Here’s Savory. My goodness ! What a character!! These two, who must be adopted together, are so much fun. A very entertaining pair of kitties.
Savory is about 15 pounds. He could afford to lose one or two. Stretched out, he looks like a long, big boy. Compressed, he looks a bit round. No matter. He is wonderful. He has been eating Evo Weight Loss food and is losing weight easily.
He and Sorrel came from the same breeder of Tonkinese cats that surrendered to us Garam and Sanchel and Gigi and Lavender and Sassafras. Savory’s cat mom died in childbirth and Savory and his siblings were tube fed from day one, so he was very much hand raised. He is used to tons of love. His human dad couldn’t resist giving him tidbits and so his weight went up one piece of freeze dried chicken at a time. All this group of Tonks will do just about anything for a piece of freeze dried chicken. (Hint: Buy it in the dog-sized treat bag; it is exactly the same product and cheaper.)
So Savory is a lover boy who really likes humans. You can see him giving Barbara a face wash in the pictures below. And that is typical of him. He is affectionate and silly and playful and curious and very liable to get into trouble. He is all about fun. With his friend Sorrel to accompany him, he races (thunders) about, setting the floor boards and chandeliers shaking. He wears a blue collar so we can tell the two apart as they are so similar. “The Bookends” we call them. The third Tonk in some of the photos below is Savory’s daughter, Beanie. More about her later.
Savory and Sorrel are a fabulous pair and someone will have such fun with them. They both would probably be fine with children and dogs though I have never seen them with either. Savory needs and deserves someone with time to give him and his friend, Sorrel, lots of love.
He eats wet and dry and especially freeze-dried chicken and is litterbox perfect.
