My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ocicats are the only entirely domestic breed of spotted cats that have the striking appearance of wildcats. They are beautifully marked, are quite athletic and very smart.

They like to play games like fetch, can learn to walk on a leash and enjoy chasing after a variety of interactive toys. They can even figure out how to open doors in search of treats. Their temperament is very much like a dog. They are very confident and absolutely devoted to their owners. They will steal the hearts of those fortunate enough to own one.

Zecora is a very loving girl. She greets her foster family at the foster bedroom door and rubs up against them, jumps up on the table to look them in the eye and gives them a kiss. She purrs softly and kneads on them to show how happy she is to see them. She follows them around like a puppy, as they clean her litter box and tidy her room. Then it is playtime! She loves to chase feathers on a string and play with catnip toys. She will get the toys and drop them at your feet, so you will throw them again.

After wearing herself out, she comes on your lap for some pets or just flops on the floor. But she stays close as she loves human company. She doesn't like other pets, she wants her family all to herself!

Will you give this precious girl a wonderful forever home filled with love and fun activities? She is such an amazing cat, she will entertain you for many years to come.

Zecora is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

She currently lives with her foster family in Carmichael.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Zecora please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Laurie at Lcrystalormsby@gmail.com or 916 799-2040 . If you are unable to reach Laurie please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Additional adoption info

READY TO ADOPT?
The first step in the adoption process for your new kitty is to submit an adoption application. The second step is to contact the foster home listed on the specific cat(s) or kittens you are interested in to find out more. Are you adopting a kitten? Kittens do best when they have a friend or two to grow up with! Kittens who grow up with another feline friend tend to be well-behaved, well-adjusted, and overall happier. Purebred Plus Cat Rescue kittens are typically adopted as pairs or as a single kitten to homes with an appropriate feline playmate. If you prefer only one kitten, we strongly encourage you to consider one of our wonderful older kittens or young adult cats that are available!

Go meet their pets

Our cats are neutered or spayed, vaccinated and FELV/FIV tested. We are not a shelter. All of our cats are fostered in private homes. The whole goal of the adoption process is to ensure the cat or kitten is a good fit for you, the adopter, and your environment. We are looking for the best fit NOT first come first serve. We always focus on what is the best for the cat or kitten.

When you adopt from Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue, you are saving TWO lives - the cat you adopt and the cat who gets to take its place in rescue!

More about this rescue

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is an all-volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, socialization, and rehoming of purebred and other exceptional cats and kittens into permanent homes. We are further dedicated to educating the public on the proper care of specific purebred breeds and the importance of spaying and neutering pets to control the animal population. We carefully match cats with their forever families by evaluating each cat's personality, temperament, and special needs.
