My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Melo, pronounced "mellow," a 4 year old Golden Retriever. He was surrendered to us after his owner had a series of traumatic events and was unable to provide proper care for him.

He is approximately 90lbs and does well with other dogs. He has had mimimal interaction with the cats in his foster home, but didn't seem to mind them much. He loves to play with toys and loves even more to cuddle. Melo is house trained and can be trusted in a dog-safe area of the house to be left loose with a Nylabone to chew on if he's bored.

He can be a little bit anxious and spooks easily by loud noises such as fireworks, thunder, etc.
Melo does have some allergies, which often causes hot spots and ear infections. He had a couple of them that developed and have been treated, as you can see in his photos. He is currently on a prescription and an over-the-counter antihistamine to help with his allergies. Potential owners would need to know about these added expenses and continue to treat them seasonally.
