My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sarge is 1/2 of a bonded pair and must be adopted with his sister, Hera. Sarge has longer hair than Hera - both are stunningly beautiful dogs, inside and out. They have never been apart, and we are committed to keeping them together. We believe the dogs to be 10 years old, having been surrendered by their owner when she could no longer care for them due to the demands of her work.

Sarge is a sweet and loving boy. When he came into rescue he had a cancerous toe, which was successfully removed and causes no problems. He loves to sing when someone plays the harmonica for him and he is calm indoors. Sarge has requested a home with a fenced yard so that he has the freedom to roam about untethered.

He is fully housetrained and up to date on vaccinations. Sarge does tend to develop oxalate crystals in his bladder, so he is on a special diet which must be followed strictly to prevent recurrence. Also, due to some stiffness in his hind quarters, Sarge will likely need to be on an anti-inflammatory regimen to maintain his comfort.

Of the pair, Sarge is the calm one - he prefers Hera to lead. They are WONDERFUL dogs and very easy to love and care for. They are great in public and like camping.
