Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mr. Hammy is a fun loving guy! He is VERY active and social and would enjoy another active and fearless cat buddy to romp around with. Mr. Hammy will likely enjoy dogs and older children as well. Hammy is outgoing and affectionate, but due to his high energy he would do best in a home without young kids. He may be too overwhelming for older, sedentary cats also. He'd love a home where he has lots of room to run and play.
Hammy is estimated to be around a year old but he's a petite guy - he's kind of like a permanent kitten! He was trapped as part of a Trap, Neuter, Release program but he had a nasty wound right in the middle of his forehead. Since he was friendly and the wound needed treatment, he ended up here with us instead of getting released.
When we explored the wound on his head, it was discovered that he had an actual hole down into the bone of his skull. Due to the size and structure of the wound, our veterinarian determined that Hammy had likely been shot with a BB gun! Luckily, with some hard core antibiotics, the wound has healed beautifully.
Hammy has been neutered, vaccinated, FELV/FIV tested negative, microchipped, and has been tested for parasites. He is current on flea and heartworm prevention. All Mr. Hammy needs now is a family to love and appreciate him!
