My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bucky and his brother Buster were very overweight when they first came to us. They were surrendered to a shelter when their family lost their home and another rescue decided not to take them after finding out how much these guys weighed. Their foster mom put them on a diet and both are looking much healthier now! Bucky is about 6-7 years old. Bucky has deformed front legs that are believed to have been a birth defect. They slow him down, and he tires out more quickly, but he does well - this is all Bucky knows! There's no way to fix his legs - it's like his feet are on backwards - sometimes his ankles seem to roll under. He's sweet and loving and lots of fun! He doesn't do great with first meetings with new dogs sometimes but then he warms up and does well and even plays with the other dogs in his foster home. His foster mom says he's grumpy because he wants her all to his self. :)
If you have other dogs we would want to try him with your dog(s) to make sure he's a good match for your family as he needs the right introduction. Bucky has not met any cats so we don't know how he is with cats. Bucky has had a couple of seizures since coming to our rescue so he is on phenobarbital to control the seizures. He tolerates it well.
