My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Confiscated by Marin Animal Control on June 1, 2013 and placed into our rescue's hands, this yearling was in very poor starvation condition.

With good veterinary guidance and volunteer daily care, the filly is growing beautifully. She will be tall like her sire.

The filly was 'domesticated feral' which means never touched or handled. Bred out of the famous Harris Ranch stallion Tizbud, this filly deserved a LOT better than poor treatment from her Novato owner.

Mia Renata is her new name. In America the meaning of the name Renata is: Rebirth.

And this talented young filly is definitely being reborn in SERRA's care—we all feel she's destined for athletic greatness with good her breeding. long legs and quick reflexes. After months of good food, care and LOADS of affection she loves and trusts humans once again.

Very easy to train and a quick learner. Left brained horsenality. Excellent curiosity and loves learning new and different things. A LOT of try in this filly.

She is Parelli started with all ground handling games and learning in natural horsemanship. She has been saddled and backed with ease. She starts her basic riding training this fall.
