My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Just look at those ears! Please meet Echo! Echo is one happy girl and just loves to play! She came from a high-kill shelter in Georgia where she was to be euthanized for space, but we couldn't let that happen so we got her out just in time! Echo is simply the sweetest, most playful pup you'll meet and she gets along great with other friendly dogs! Echo is also very eager to please and loves people of all ages! She's a very smart girl and would make an awesome addition to any family! Please consider Echo as you're searching for your next furry family member!

Echo is spayed and microchipped. She is current on all vaccines, dewormed, and heartworm negative.

Our adoption process begins with you meeting Echo. Feel free to schedule a play date with her and your existing dog(s). After you fill out an application, we will verify your references and do a brief home inspection. If all goes well, we will deliver Echo to you for a small adoption fee. We then ask that you sign our adoption contract. We will do a follow-up visit approximately two weeks to one month after the adoption to ensure that Echo is adjusting well to her new home and that she is happy and healthy.

We feel our adoption process is the best way to vet good owners and to guard against people seeking dogs for dog fighting, bait dogs, and/or dog sales. We only have our rescue dogs' best interest in mind and we do everything we can to ensure that they go to the very best home and that it's the perfect fit.

More about this rescue

We started this organization to fill a need. Animals are being euthanized in astonishing numbers across the country simply due to overcrowding of shelters. It's heartbreaking! Our main focus is to pull these animals out of these high-kill facilities and place them in loving forever homes. We have several local fosters that are willing to provide temporary TLC for these pets while they are waiting for their "forever humans" to come along! We are also passionate about community education in areas of need. The pet overpopulation problem rests solely on the shoulders of humans and that is why more focus needs to be placed on educating people and making them more aware of the issue. We want to give as many animals as possible the chance they deserve, so that is why we founded Happy Landings Animal Rescue.
