My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Moose. He is a 7 year old, 16 pound, Lhasa/Poodle/bichon???? mix that adds up to ADORABLE!

Moose came to us from his owner who was sick and could no longer care for him properly. Moose has been much loved and well cared for. He is completely house trained, crate trained, LOVES his walks and rides in the car. Although crate trained, he is so perfect that he has never been crated in his foster home. He loves attention and sleeps in bed. So where else would a spoiled little dog sleep??

Moose likes other dogs and cats. He is good with older children but he would probably like it best to have them in his life as visiting grandchildren. He loves to play chase and would love another dog in the home that would play with him and keep him young and healthy.

Moose is very affectionate and sweet. He came into rescue a bit confused about what was happening to him but quickly became acclimated and he's been a very good boy.

Moose's adoption will require a fenced yard and someone that is not away from home a typical 8 hour work day; someone that works from home, works very part time or is retired. Moose will need another dog to play with. He would be lonely without one. He is not a wild player so would do best with another soft and sweet dog in the home.

If you feel that your lifestyle and environment meet with Moose's needs please contact Martha at learymjri@aol.com or call 330-466-3667 or 330-262-0515 for an application or more information. If you email I WILL respond. If you don't hear from me please call. The link is not always perfect.

Moose's adoption will require an approved application and home visit. The adoption must be completed with the adopter coming to the foster home. Adoption fee is $250.

PLEASE READ; If you are using a commercial, chemical flea preventative like Trifexis, or Frontline, etc., these are dangerous neurotoxins that poison the life force of your dog (his or her blood) in order to kill a flea. There are serious side effects including seizures and even death from the use of this product. It is so toxic that it is under the control of the EPA, deadly to wildlife, a toxic water pollutant, dangerous to children and pregnant women.. With over 40,000 complaints of sickness and death a year reported to the EPA from the use of these chemical flea products, we feel we can no longer put our dogs in homes who continue to use these products for flea prevention. We do not want our dogs given these products. We are happy to talk with you about natural flea preventatives.

Below is the Material Data Sheet sent to me by Merial who makes Frontline Plus. Please read...

Moose is on a species appropriate balanced raw diet. He will require a grain free kibble at the minimum.
